Here’s a list of recommended places we have used in the past that is good value and quality. There are plenty more to select from on Kauai depending on your budget but this will help you get started.

Accommodations in Kapaa is a great choice if you want to be central. It’s the oldest town on Kauai with a small town atmosphere and lots of restaurants, groceries, shopping. Traffic can be hectic at rush our. There are no nice swimming beaches in Kapaa but there is a great bike path you can use to run or ride to beaches. It is where the Kauai World Challenge starts.

The North is more wild and lush. It has breath taking scenery, beaches, hiking, snorkeling, surf town, and where our clinics are based. The weather can be inclement in the Winter, but if it is cooperating, it is amazing. The Napali should be on your bucket list. Some of our participants rented houses on Hanalei Bay which they loved. Princeville is where there is a good selection of resorts and condos.

The South Shore (Poipu/Lawai) has lots of great choices for accommodations that are on the beach. The South Shore is dryer and warmer in the Winter and is central to the Kauai World Challenge. We can arrange accommodations with Lawai Beach Resort which is a better deal than their posted rates. Contact us for more on Lawai.

North Shore
Hanalei Bay Resort – Great for shared accommodations. Short walk down to Hanalei Bay on the Princeville side.
The Cliffs – Short walk to Queens Bath. Amazing view from cliff.
Tom Bartlett’s House – $150 per night for 2 and $25 per each additional. 6 nights minimum. Can sleep 8 but 6 is best. 3 queens and 2 twins.

East Coast
Kapaa Shore Resort – Great for shared accommodations. Some have great ocean view.
Marriot – Impressive resort with nice pool, restaurant, and bar. Some suites have kitchenettes.
Beachboy – Some paddlers have stayed here and are planning to stay here again for the next clinic. Very nice complex with pool and by the ocean.
Aston Aloha Beach Hotel – Only protected swimming and snorkeling beach in Kapaa.

 South Shore
Lawai Beach Resort – Book direct at Hawaii Timeshare Exchange or contact us for possible discounts.
Summer’s Vacation Rental – If you prefer to rent part of a house in Poipu at a very reasonable rate then check out Summer Bartlett’s vacation rental.
Grand Hyatt – Stunning resort and location if you can afford it. Fantastic pool.
Mariott – Another stunner if you can afford it. Great pool, swimming beach, Dukes.
