$700 usd (*Supply your own canoe)
$825 usd (*We supply canoe)
*Paddlers must supply their own leash, paddles and PFDs
This will be a great clinic to take to if you want to get a head start on the competition for the following year, or just want to improve your skills and paddle in warm blue water. We will help you with your stroke, wave catching, and do some training exercise as well as get you out doing some fun runs working with you so that you are catching waves as effectively as possible.
Safety is emphasized and a full assessment of paddling ability will be done to ensure each paddler is accommodated accordingly. The clinic is 5 days and we will paddle at various locations around the island based on the conditions. The first day will be in a protected area where we can assess your ability and you can get accounted with the equipment. You should be very comfortable paddling in the open ocean and a strong swimmer.
The canoes will likely be, but not limited to Ares, Antares, Scorpius, and doubles such as Tempest. The canoes are checked and are in top quality condition. Visit Kai Wa’a for more details on some of the outrigger canoes we use.
Ask about a group rate if you have 6 or more paddlers!
5x Day Clinic (canoe rental included) – $825
5x Day Clinic (supply your own canoe) – $700
*NOTE: We reserve the right to modify clinics if we don’t have a minimum of 6 paddlers attending for a five day clinic, and 4 paddlers for a weekend session. In the very unlikely event we have to cancel, we will refund the cost of the clinic. If you need to cancel, we will refund the full amount minus the PayPal admin fee (approx. $60USD) up to 2 weeks prior to the scheduled start date of a clinic, unless it affects the minimum participation requirement in which case the refund will be 50% minus the PayPal admin fee. If you cancel within two weeks of a clinic start date then the refund will be a 70% minus the PayPal admin fee since most of the fixed costs for the clinic will have been paid for and cannot be reimbursed. During the clinic, paddlers are responsible for any damages to the boats they are using. If there are damages, then the instructor will determine if the boat needs to be completely replaced or it can be fixed.
