Kauai Outrigger offers OC1, OC6 and Va’a clinics in KAUAI, MAUI, and CALIFORNIA. The exact location of the clinics vary depending on the clinic purpose, season, wind, and assessed paddler ability. All of the clinics are guided by instructors who are very knowledgeable about the optimal locations for paddling. If there is a large group, it will be split according to ability.

A typical clinic runs for 5 days, averaging about 4 hours of instruction per day. In the instruction, paddlers will get expert advice on the following:

• stroke analysis
• technique
• boat skills
• balance
• safetey
• wave catching
• high performance strategies

NOTE: OC6 clinics will also cover water changes, race preparation, crew selection, and possibly steering.
