$450 usd for 3 x days

*Paddlers must supply their own PFDs and Paddles

If you’re planning on participating in the world’s largest outrigger canoe race or have been waiting for an opportunity to try paddling on the Big Island then this is the clinic for you. This will be an OC6 clinic suitable for all levels of paddler. The clinic is scheduled so that you can optionally race the Queen Liliuokalani race (not included in the clinic cost) which is four days of racing, starting with the OC4 races on Thursday, Single-hull canoe races on Saturday, Double hull, OC1, OC2 and SUP races on Sunday and the OC 6 Kupuna Classic on Monday. You will get the proven Tahitian style stroke technique along with OC6 practicing in warm blue waters of the Big Island of Hawaii. It will include roles in different seats, OC6 wave catching, steering tips, training tips, and more. For those racing, we will cover race preparation, selecting the optimal line, locations to stay clear of, and more so that there are no surprises come race day. We may throw in some solo
practice as well. Ask us about a group rate if you have 6 or more paddlers!

*NOTE: We reserve the right to modify clinics if we don’t have a minimum of 6 paddlers attending for a five day clinic, and 4 paddlers for a weekend session. In the very unlikely event we have to cancel, we will refund the cost of the clinic. If you need to cancel, we will refund the full amount minus the PayPal admin fee (approx. $60USD) up to 2 weeks prior to the scheduled start date of a clinic, unless it affects the minimum participation requirement in which case the refund will be 50% minus the PayPal admin fee. If you cancel within two weeks of a clinic start date then the refund will be a 70% minus the PayPal admin fee since most of the fixed costs for the clinic will have been paid for and cannot be reimbursed. During the clinic, paddlers are responsible for any damages to the boats they are using. If there are damages, then the instructor will determine if the boat needs to be completely replaced or it can be fixed.
